Job summary

Impression Recruitment Ltd. seeks a Practice Accountant in Harrogate with a salary of £40,000-£45,000 per annum and a hybrid arrangement (up to 2 days working from home after probation).

You will prepare statutory financial statements, management accounts and VAT for a varied client portfolio within a forward-thinking independent firm of Chartered Accountants. Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• Experience in a practice environment.
• Experience with owner-managed and family-run businesses.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements, management accounts and VAT returns for a diverse client portfolio.
• Act as primary client contact, building relationships and delivering on-site visits for accounting support.
• Assist with tax compliance and advisory work, including review of corporation tax returns and capital allowances assessments.
• Contribute to training and development of junior team members while working with Managers and Partners.
• Utilise accounting software and technology platforms to deliver high-quality service.
