Job summary

Adecco in Carnforth is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses, delivering high-quality accounts and practical commercial advice to support client growth and success.

The role focuses on delivering accounts, management reporting and strategic tax planning, with opportunities to develop business and client relationships within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing accountancy practice.
• Proven portfolio management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and business advisory skills.
• Experience with accounts preparation software.
• Knowledge of Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong client relationships.
• Prepare, review and deliver financial accounts.
• Produce management accounts and business reports.
• Provide commercial and financial advice to clients.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning, restructuring and business improvement.
• Support business development through networking and referrals.
• Work with senior leadership to enhance processes and systems.
