Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Qualified Accountant in Carnforth to join a growing accountancy practice. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses, delivering high-quality accounts and commercial advice to support client growth.

Key duties include preparing and reviewing financial accounts, producing management reports, and advising on tax planning and business improvements. Strong client-facing experience and knowledge of Sage/Xero/QuickBooks are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a client-facing accountancy practice role.
• Proven portfolio management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and business advisory skills.
• Experience with accounts preparation software.
• Knowledge of Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop strong client relationships.
• Prepare, review and deliver financial accounts.
• Produce management accounts and business reports.
• Provide commercial and financial advice to clients.
• Identify opportunities for tax planning, restructuring and business improvement.
• Support business development through networking and referrals.
• Work with senior leadership to enhance processes and systems.
