Job summary

Brunel in Bristol is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to join the PPM team, delivering fire and security maintenance and reactive tasks across public sector and private sites.

You'll carry out Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits, respond to reactive calls, and liaise with managers to hit service schedules; a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of fire alarm systems such as Advanced Electronics and Apollo.
• Experience of security systems such as Honeywell Galaxy and Texecom.
• Ability to work on site in public sector sites and private education/healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Attend reactive call-outs for fire, intruder, and security systems when required.
• Maintain sites such as schools, colleges, libraries, and healthcare facilities.

About the Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer within Brunel’s PPM team, you will support the successful delivery of fire and security maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will be responsible for achieving your service schedules to the levels expected by the company and communicating with line managers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• An all-round and competent engineer with good knowledge of both Fire and security systems.
• Primarily undertaking Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Providing, when required, attendance to undertake reactive call outs for both fire, intruder and security systems.
• Sites maintained would be predominantly public sector buildings, such as schools, colleges, libraries, etc. However, the area of operation would also cover private education and healthcare sites.

• Desirable:
  • Experience of security systems listed below is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided:
    • Access Control – NSP, Paxton
    • CCTV – Hikvision
