Job summary

Brunel Fire & Security, part of Obsequio Group, is seeking an Automation Engineer to maintain and service automated systems across a nationwide customer base. The role involves performing maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding and repairs on gates, barriers, doors and shutters, delivering high standards of workmanship.

You will work proactively, manage workload independently and uphold safety standards with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated gates, barriers, doors or similar automation systems.
• Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

This position would suit an engineer who is self‑driven, organised and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work. We are seeking someone with ambition, a positive attitude and a desire to develop their career while contributing to the growth of the department.
