Job summary

Brunel, part of Obsequio Group, is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to join its PPM team in Bristol and surrounding areas.

You will perform Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits, handle reactive maintenance, and liaise with line managers to meet service schedules.

This role covers public sector sites such as schools and libraries, with training provided and opportunities to grow within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire systems: Advanced Electronics and Apollo.
• Experience with security systems: Honeywell Galaxy and Texecom.
• Access Control – NSP and Paxton.
• Public sector/site familiarity (schools, libraries, healthcare) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Attend reactive call-outs for fire, intruder and security systems.
• Communicate with line managers and stakeholders to ensure service schedules are met.
• Maintain high attention to detail and meet deadlines.

About the Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer within Brunel’s PPM team, you will support the successful delivery of fire and security maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will be responsible for achieving your service schedules to the levels expected by the company and communicating with line managers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• An all-round and competent engineer with good knowledge of both Fire and security systems.
• Primarily undertaking Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
• Providing, when required, attendance to undertake reactive call outs for both fire, intruder and security systems.
• Sites maintained would be predominantly public sector buildings, such as schools, colleges, libraries, etc. However, the area of operation would also cover private education and healthcare sites.
• Able to work effectively using own initiative
• Good written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Customer-focused with a professional and responsive attitude.
• Problem-solving approach and a proactive mindset.
