Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group in Kettering is recruiting a Technician - Safety Product Testing to join a PPE testing team in accredited laboratories. You will perform routine physical testing of PPE and operate specialist equipment, recording results and preparing samples for testing.

The successful candidate will join a hands-on, detail‑oriented lab environment with full training provided and opportunities to work on a wide range of PPE products across the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English and Science (C or above).
• Strong computer skills with MS Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and positive attitude; keen to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine physical testing of PPE in accordance with International and European standards.
• Operating specialist test equipment and machinery.
• Accurately recording test results on paperwork and electronic systems.
• Preparing samples prior to testing.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised laboratory environment.
• Managing and maintaining sample storage areas.
• Supporting Technologists when customers visit the laboratory.
• Working both independently and as part of a wider technical team.
• Ensuring testing is completed accurately and in line with required procedures.
