Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Technologist to join the Fall Arrest testing team in Kettering. The role focuses on testing PPE used for working at height, including harnesses and lanyards, with hands-on equipment handling. You will perform routine tests to European and International standards, record results accurately, and produce detailed reports.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.
• Valid driving licence and passport with ability to travel.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to follow testing procedures and meet deadlines.
• Excellent time management and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to undertake physical work, including setting up test arrangements at ground level and at height.
• Previous experience working with customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical testing of PPE per international and European standards.
• Operate test equipment and record results accurately.
• Produce detailed reports based on testing results.
• Liaise with customers by telephone, email and in person.
• Arrange and host customer test visits on-site and at customer premises.
• Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas up to 50%.
• Arrange and conduct manufacturer site audits relating to production control processes.
• Work outdoors at ground level and at height for prolonged periods.
• Support the development and improvement of testing facilities and processes.
• Ensure testing is completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and wider business opportunities.
