Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a Technologist for Fall Arrest in Kettering. The role focuses on testing PPE used for working at height, including harnesses and lanyards, with on-site and off-site testing and reporting responsibilities.

The candidate will travel up to 50% within the UK and overseas and will be involved in developing testing facilities and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.

Qualifications

• GCSEs English and Maths at Grade C or above are expected.
• A valid driving licence and passport with ability to travel in the UK and overseas.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to follow detailed testing procedures and methods.
• Excellent time management and the flexibility to handle changing priorities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to undertake physical work and setup test arrangements at ground level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine physical testing of PPE in accordance with International and European standards.
• Operate specialist test equipment and accurately record results.
• Produce detailed reports based on testing results.
• Liaise with customers by phone, email and in person.
• Arrange and host customer test visits on-site or at customer premises.
• Travel to UK and overseas customer sites, up to 50% of the role.
• Support ongoing development and improvement of testing facilities and procedures.
• Ensure testing is completed accurately and within deadlines.
