The ideal candidate holds QTS and has PRU or similar experience, with a proven ability to implement positive behaviour strategies, build relationships, and adapt lessons for SEND and SEMH needs.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience in a PRU or similar alternative provision.
• Experience supporting SEND and SEMH needs.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and fairly.
• Able to adapt teaching to a range of learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects and year groups to cover teachers' PPA time.
• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Creating a structured, calm and consistent learning environment.
• Using positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement and minimise disruption.
• Adapting lessons and learning activities to meet pupils' individual needs and abilities.
• Building trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning.
• Working collaboratively with school staff to maintain consistency and support pupils' progress.
