Job summary

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is seeking a PowerFactory Super User at the Warwick Head Office to support PowerFactory and power systems analysis across the network.

You will lead on configuring PowerFactory, scripting, and multi-user administration while liaising with DIgSILENT to resolve issues and implement updates. A strong understanding of electrical networks and business processes is essential.

Qualifications

• PowerFactory experience and DIgSILENT scripting knowledge.
• In-depth understanding of power system networks and analyses.
• Experience managing multi-user software environments.
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with DIgSILENT about problems with PowerFactory and report back in technical terms.
• Answer general queries in PowerFactory and assist with scripts.
• Manage the user administration of PowerFactory (add/delete users, archive projects).
• Manage the configuration and scripts in PowerFactory and implement patches or workarounds.
• Assist users in improving business processes and taking advantage of parallel processing features.
• Support IT projects by explaining PowerFactory data structures and workflow.
