Job summary

Leap29 is recruiting for a Power System Engineer in Manchester to design power systems for data centres and critical infrastructure. The role is permanent and involves hybrid working from the Manchester offices, supporting a global portfolio of hyperscale campuses and colocation facilities.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Electrical engineering, be Chartered, and have hands-on experience in power system design and analysis, including ETAP/SKM/DigSILENT/PowerFactory or similar

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognised institution.
  • Experience in power system design and analysis.
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT, POWERFactory or similar software.
  • Experience within the data centre industry or critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design power systems for data centres and critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Perform power system analysis and simulations to validate designs.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support multi-site data centre projects.

Job description

My Client is an international Consultancy who specialise in Data Centre design and construction.

Due to expansion, they are currently searching a Power System Engineer to support the team in Manchester for the design of various Data Centres. The Power system Engineer will be directly employed by my Client on a permanent basis.

The Power system engineer will be involved in the design of global Data Centres from hyperscale campuses and colocation facilities to critical infrastructure facilities. You will have the opportunity to work hybrid from the the Manchester offices.

The Power system Engineer is required to:
  • Have a degree in the Electrical field or related discipline
  • Have Chartered Engineering status with a recognised institution
  • Experience in Power System design
  • Experience in Power system analysis
  • Experience with ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT, POWERFactory or similar softwares
  • Experience within the Data Centre industry or critical infrastructure projects
