Job summary

Speedy Hire PLC is seeking a Mobile Powered Access Engineer to service, refurbish, repair and maintain powered access equipment at customer sites around Newport. The role includes attending emergency breakdowns and scheduled maintenance to ensure safe, reliable equipment for customers.

You will ideally be CAP registered with experience on brands like Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG, and be adept at fault finding, diagnostics, and reading electrical/hydraulic drawings.

Qualifications

• CAP registration preferred.
• Experience on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie or JLG is advantageous.
• Experience in estimating repairs with attention to detail.
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic drawings and understand both systems.
• Previous engineering experience with powered access.

Responsibilities

• Service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of powered access equipment at customer sites.
• Attend emergency breakdown calls and scheduled service maintenance.
• Ensure customers use safe and reliable equipment to deliver customer excellence.
• Cover Newport and surrounding areas as part of servicing fleet.

Mobile Powered Access Engineer - Newport - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 45 HOURS

As a Mobile Powered Access Engineer covering Newport and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment based at our customer's sites. We offer our customers the highest level of care, therefore this role will involve attending emergency breakdown calls as well as scheduled service maintenance. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment so that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

What you'll need:

• Ideally be CAP registered
• Previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG would be an advantage
• Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
• Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
• Previous engineering experience within powered access
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
