Job summary

Speedy Group UK&I is seeking a Mobile Powered Access Engineer to service, refurbish and repair powered access equipment across Newport and surrounding areas. You’ll attend emergency breakdowns and scheduled maintenance, ensuring equipment is safe and reliable so customers can rely on us.

The role requires CAP registration where possible, experience with Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG, and the ability to read electrical/hydraulic drawings.

Qualifications

• CAP registration preferred.
• Experience on powered access equipment (Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie, JLG).
• Experience in estimating repairs with attention to detail.
• Fault finding and diagnostics experience.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic drawings.
• Previous engineering experience in powered access.
• Support the ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

Job description

Mobile Powered Access Engineer - Newport - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 45 HOURS Speedy are the UK's leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services everything for every job! As a Mobile Powered Access Engineer covering Newport and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment based at our customer's sites. We offer our customers the highest level of care, therefore this role will involve attending emergency breakdown calls as well as scheduled service maintenance. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment so that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

What you’ll need:

• Ideally be CAP registered
• Previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG would be an advantage
• Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
• Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
• Previous engineering experience within powered access
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
