Job summary

IES Utilities Group Ltd. in Aberdeen is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management across our Power Division.

You will help control costs, prepare CVRs, manage subcontractor packages, and ensure accurate reporting in line with contract terms. Working with the Senior QS and Commercial Manager, you will monitor budgets, value variations, and support early risk identification while maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a QS in utilities, construction or infra.
• Basic understanding of NEC contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience supporting CVRs, forecasting and subcontractor accounts.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management and cost control across projects.
• Assist in preparing CVRs and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Support subcontractor packages and payments per contract terms.
• Assist with change control, variations and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to WIP, cash collection and month-end reporting.
• Engage with stakeholders and participate in commercial reviews.
• Provide timely commercial information to operations teams.
