IES Utilities Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to administer and manage contracts across our utility projects. You will lead cost control, valuations and final accounts while supporting operational teams to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes.
The role covers NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 ECC) and bespoke agreements, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and shape commercial strategy across Power, Gas, Water and Renewables projects.

We have several Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor roles available across our business. Depending on your background and experience, if you decided to join us, you would either be working on our traditional utility works upgrading and renewing distribution networks, or on multi-discipline construction call-off projects awarded under various capital delivery Frameworks.
We operate an embedded commercial function which we encourage to form an integral part of our operational delivery teams, as such you will be assigned one or more contracts, depending on the size, and operate day-to-day supporting operational teams in delivering successful contract outcomes.
Quantity Surveyor Level - minimum 2+ years experience within utilities or infrastructure environments. Strong understanding of cost control and commercial management principles. NEC contract knowledge preferred.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Level - Significant utilities or infrastructure contract experience, ability to manage complex contracts. Strong negotiation and contract administration capability and lead client-facing commercial discussions. Willingness and ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
