Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mechanical) to deliver on-site service for transformers across the UK. You will install, assemble, maintain and commission large power transformers and related equipment, working with a team of experienced engineers.

This is a highly mobile, field-based role requiring extensive UK travel. The role emphasizes health and safety, quality and customer satisfaction, with potential overnight stays and weekend work as part of project

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining large industrial equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and procedures.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate service activities on customer sites.
• Support installation, assembly and commissioning of large transformers and equipment.
• Carry out oil handling, processing, filtration and sampling.
• Maintain site documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
