You will play a key role in delivering safe and efficient service activities whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced electricians, wiremen and electrical installation engineers to develop specialist expertise within the power industry and support critical energy infrastructure projects across the UK.

Please note: This is a highly mobile, field-based role that requires extensive travel throughout the UK. Successful candidates should expect frequent overnight stays away from home, extended periods working on customer sites, and occasional weekend working as part of normal project delivery requirements.

Undertake panel wiring, marshalling kiosk wiring, control cabinet modifications and auxiliary circuit installations in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and technical documentation to ensure installations are completed correctly.

Perform electrical inspection, testing, fault finding and commissioning activities on transformer control and auxiliary systems.

Support transformer commissioning projects by carrying out continuity testing, insulation resistance testing and functional checks on protection, monitoring and control circuits.

Lead site activities under the direction of the Project Manager, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements.

Maintain project documentation, quality records, commissioning checklists and service reports, helping to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement activities.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and act as an ambassador for Hitachi Energy whilst identifying potential service opportunities and customer requirements.

Apply all safety rules, environmental requirements and safe working practices whilst proactively identifying hazards and implementing actions to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment and customer assets.

Your Background:

Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, City & Guilds Electrical qualification or equivalent industry experience.

Proven experience as an Electrician, Wireman, Electrical Installation Engineer or Electrical Field Service Engineer.

Experience in the installation, termination and testing of control, instrumentation and power cabling.

Experience with panel wiring, control systems, switchgear, transformers, substations or industrial electrical installations would be advantageous.
