Job summary

EP Langage Ltd is seeking a dedicated Production Technician (Operations) to join the team at Langage Power Station, United Kingdom. The role operates on a 24/7 basis and reports to the Shift Team Leader, supporting safe and efficient electricity production.

You will operate and maintain plant equipment, uphold HS&E requirements, and contribute to emergency response and site security. A collective agreement role at G2 level on shift is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in power generation or heavy industry.
• Experience with laboratory analysis equipment and techniques.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Competence in IT/IS skills (MS Office).
• Completed recognised technician training or apprenticeship.
• Minimum ONC in engineering subject.
• HNC in engineering subject (desirable).
• Membership in a professional institution desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and/or maintain plant areas with HS&E compliance and availability to deliver customer satisfaction and business plan.
• Accurately maintain station and operating logs for statutory compliance.
• Assist Shift Engineer/Team Leader with PTW system and safety rules, including emergency procedures.
• Interact with National Grid and EPUKI traders to understand energy requirements and supply.
• Be aware of asset condition and notify issues affecting HS&E and production capability.
• Collect operational and HS&E data for station logs and reports for internal and statutory bodies.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and testing on plant items.
• Ensure thorough handovers between shift teams to maintain safe operations.
