Job summary

Pertemps Telford is seeking a trainee Powder Coater/Production Operative in the south of Telford for a full-time role that starts as temporary and may become permanent. You will join a small production team handling powder coating components, assembling small parts and supporting the line with power tools, masking, hanging and oven management.

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be given; you will follow safe systems of work, maintain housekeeping and assist where needed.

Qualifications

• Full training provided in powder coating processes.
• Dexterity with small hand tools.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Powder coat components and manage the oven to ensure efficiency.
• Prepare and hang components and use masking where required.
• Use power tools and hand tools as part of assembly duties.
• Maintain line cleanliness and housekeeping, ensure PPE is used.

Job description

Powder Coater/Assembly Operative

Our manufacturing client based in the south of Telford is looking for a full time, temporary to permanent trainee powder coater/production operative, to join there busy and forward thinking team.

This is a very diverse role and not limited to one job. As part of the powder coating side, you will be part of a small production team, picking stock from warehouse using internally generated works orders, you will be using power tools, Dremel, buffing wheel, cleaning, masking & hanging of components, powder coating components and using good oven management to ensure maximum efficiency.

Powder coating booth housekeeping will include full clean down of all equipment on colour change, Gun & cup, line, filters, catch draw etc, ensuring all PPE (supplied) is used at the correct times, you may be asked to perform other tasks and duties within your capability.

In addition, you will be assembling small component products using basic hand tools and jig, spanners, sockets, screwdrivers etc.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience of powder coating small components/manufacturing is advantageous however is not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate
• Able to complete mechanical based tasks using small hand tools/good dexterity
• Good written and verbal communication
• Good attention to detail and consistent levels of accuracy
• Enthusiastic & self- motivated with the ability to follow safe systems of work and take personal responsibility
• Be flexible and help where necessary.

£13.00 Per Hour

Early Finish of 3.30pm Friday
