Job summary

Japfa is seeking a farm operative to manage daily poultry housing tasks at the Stock site. You will feed birds, collect eggs, clean facilities, and care for flocks while ensuring overall welfare and compliant operations.

You will monitor environmental conditions, report issues to supervisors, maintain records, and assist with vaccinations and equipment maintenance as directed. This role is on-site in Stock, England.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of animal welfare and farm husbandry.
• Good observational skills and ability to report issues promptly.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily poultry farm activities including feeding, egg collection, cleaning and flock care.
• Observe flock conditions, report mortality and anomalies to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of facilities and equipment; follow safety and biosecurity rules.
• Record daily operational data accurately as instructed.
• Support team to ensure smooth farm operations.
