Job summary

Noble Foods, Home of the Happy Egg Co., is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support daily poultry rearing operations on our farm. You will work with the Farm Manager to ensure bird health, welfare, and production targets are met across brooding, growing and pre-lay stages.

Key responsibilities include monitoring health metrics, maintaining biosecurity practices, coordinating feeding and housing standards, and assisting with vaccination and health monitoring programmes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of poultry husbandry, nutrition, ventilation and disease management.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and record accuracy.
• Understanding of biosecurity and animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pullet rearing stages: brooding, growing, and pre-lay.
• Monitor bird health, behaviour, uniformity and performance indicators.
• Ensure correct feed, water, lighting, ventilation, and space per standards.
• Assist in vaccination, medication, and flock health monitoring.
• Uphold biosecurity across farm areas and hygiene practices.
• Support regulatory compliance and record-keeping for audits.
• Assist in production planning and monitoring flock performance metrics.
• Support pullet transfer preparations to meet age and weight specs.
• Help analyse production data and suggest improvements.
• Maintain daily records and stock control for medications and equipment.
• Provide timely updates to the Farm Manager on operational issues.
