Royal Mail in Faversham is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will sort, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers in your local area, working outdoors in all weathers.

Job type: Fixed Term contract 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 26:50hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 8.30am to 3.15pm/1pm to 7pm*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated

• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
