Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Horley. You will deliver letters and parcels, work on a rotating 5-of-7 schedule, and join a team that serves the local community.

Role includes full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. The position involves outdoor work, weekends, and driving daily as part of a busy route network.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment

27.50 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 7:09/15:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand. You’ll be required to work Sundays at Crawley Delivery office.
