Royal Mail in Braintree is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 9 months. The role covers delivering letters and parcels, walking long distances, and driving a Royal Mail van on a rotating schedule.

You must hold a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points, be willing to pass a driving assessment, and be physically fit to work outdoors and independently. 30 hours per week across 5 days, with weekend work and overtime where available.

Location: Braintree Delivery Office, CM7 3SR

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:00am/12:00pm/14:30pm/21:00pm*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Bury St Edmunds Delivery Office 1 every 4 weeks from 9:00 to 16:00
