Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking a Post Doctoral Research Associate to lead computational analysis and integration of transcriptomic, proteomic, genomic and phenotypic data related to insecticide resistance in malaria vectors.

You will work with experimental scientists to validate findings, develop multi-omics integration methods, and contribute to genome surveillance and resistance monitoring efforts. This is a full-time fixed-term role based in Liverpool.

Qualificações

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, systems biology, biology, CS or closely related field.
• Strong computational experience with high-dimensional molecular data.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R; Linux/command-line skills.
• Experience with multi-omics, machine learning or vector biology is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead transcriptomic and proteomic analyses from QC to differential expression and enrichment.
• Integrate multi-omics data to identify resistance mechanisms and hypotheses.
• Develop reproducible Python/R workflows with version control.
• Contribute to publications, grants and data sharing.
