About the role
Based within the Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU) at University College London (UCL), a full-time post-doctoral research assistant is needed to work on the "Co-producing Digital Platforms for Youth Inclusive Urban Governance" project. This research focuses on four small to medium-sized cities in Indonesia and Lebanon, examining youth engagement in urban governance within exclusionary power dynamics. The project involves working with young people as citizen scientists, analyzing existing urban platforms, and conducting surveys across the cities.
The appointment is for 16 months under the UCL Research Fellow scheme, with an initial salary of Grade 7, point 31 (£44,000 per annum, including London Allowance).
We anticipate the start date to be 1 June or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will undergo UCL probation procedures.
About you
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline (or near completion), will be the primary staff member on the project, managing research activities and administrative tasks.
Travel to project partner countries (Lebanon, Indonesia, or UK) for at least 6 months is required. Therefore, applicants must be able to travel.
