Job summary

The Rosalind Franklin Institute invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a project on developing tools for quantitative imaging of epithelial cell biology and biophysics. You will drive independent research, contribute to workflows for bioimaging analysis, and publish your findings.

Candidates must hold a PhD in cell biology, biophysics or biochemistry, with strong skills in quantitative microscopy and data analysis.

Qualifications

• PhD in cell biology, biophysics or biochemistry with demonstrated lab experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to lead projects.
• Experience in formulating research questions and strategies for addressing them.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project on quantitative cell biology of cell interfaces.
• Develop tools to visualise biomolecules in cells and observe dynamic formation of cell interfaces in epithelia.
• Generate complex data from super-resolution fluorescence and CryoET and analyse it.
• Contribute to publications, grant writing, and collaboration within the lab.
