Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Windsor’s Queen Elizabeth Delivery Office for a permanent, full-time role. You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, outdoors in all weather, on a rotating shift including some weekends.

With full training and a uniform provided, you’ll work about 30 hours per week, across five days in seven. A full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and ability to pass a driving assessment are required.

Qualifications

Job description

Location: The Queen Elizabeth Delivery Office, SL4 1AA

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday – Sunday – 08:30/14:30*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work some Sundays at Slough Delivery Office, 11:00-17:00.

What To Expect

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated

• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
