Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring in West Bromwich for a 12-month fixed-term Delivery Postie role. You will work 30 hours per week across a 5-in-7 rota, including Sundays, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in your local area.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence and be prepared for outdoor work in all weather. You will receive a fixed hourly pay of £13.68 plus overtime, with training provided and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Location: West Bromwich Delivery Office, B70 7RH

Job type: Fixed Term contract 12 Months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 7:15/15:00*

What You’ll Do

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
