Job summary

Royal Mail in Seaton is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver to join the team at Seaton Delivery Office. You will sort mail, deliver by van and on foot, and serve the local community on a rotating shift, including weekends.

This physically demanding role offers 37 hours a week, a fixed-term contract of nine months, paid overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package. You will need a full UK manual driving licence and be comfortable working outdoors.

Qualifications

Location: Seaton Delivery Office, EX12 2RA

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:30/15:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work one in four Sundays at Exeter Mail Centre working between 10:30/18:30

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
