Royal Mail in Tiverton is looking for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join the team at Tiverton Delivery Office. You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot across Tiverton, on a rotating shift that includes some weekends, with 34 hours per week.

You’ll receive full training, a uniform, and a reliable route, with a focus on customer service and working outdoors in all weather. A full UK driving licence is required, and you will be assessed before starting.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (12 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 34.00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday

Monday - Saturday hours: 07:24 - 15:54

Sunday hours: 11:00 - 18:24

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
