Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Pontypridd. The role involves delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot, sorting at the office, and building customer relationships. You will work outdoors across a rotating schedule, including Sundays, with 30 hours per week and 6-month fixed-term contract.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and the iconic red Royal Mail van. A full manual UK driving licence is required, and you must be prepared for driving assessments

Location: Pontypridd Delivery Office, CF37 1AA

Job type: Fixed Term contract for six months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 09:00/16:00 or 10:00/18:00*

About You

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
