Job summary

Royal Mail East Molesey Delivery Office is hiring a Postie to deliver letters and parcels in the local area. You’ll work a rotating 35-hour week with some weekend work, and shifts from 08:00 to 20:00. The role includes full uniform, a red Royal Mail van, and full training.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit for long walks, and be comfortable working outdoors. Benefits include holiday allowance and pension support.

Location: Molesey Delivery Office, KT8 2JW

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.Working hours: 35 hrs hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 08:00/20:00

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work one in two Sundays at Kingston Delivery Office, KT1 3AW, working between 10:00 and 16:00.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
