Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Molesey is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 9‑month fixed term contract. You will work a 35‑hour week across Monday to Sunday, delivering letters and parcels in East Molesey and building relationships with customers.

The role involves outdoor activity in all weather and a rotating shift pattern with some weekends. Full training and a uniform are provided, along with a Royal Mail van and driving assessment.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Location: Molesey Delivery Office, KT8 2JW

Job type: Fixed Term contract - 9 months

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 35 hrshours per week - working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 08:00/20:00

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work one in two Sundays at Kingston Delivery Office, KT1 3AW, working between 10:00 and 16:00.
