Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Liverpool for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You’ll work 30 hours per week on a rotating schedule, delivering letters and parcels in the local area and building relationships with customers.

Applicants must hold a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points) and be physically fit, capable of walking long distances, lifting 10 kg+ mailbags, and working outdoors in all weather—while delivering excellent service.

Location: Liverpool South Delivery Office, L3 4XX

Job type: Fixed Term contract 9 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:00/16:30*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work 10:00-16:0 Sundays on a rota basis.

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
