Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Exeter is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in Exeter, working 35 hours and 20 minutes per week across five days within a seven-day cycle, with early start times.

You will walk and drive a Royal Mail van, work outdoors in all weather, and build relationships with customers while receiving full training and support from an iconic red van fleet.

Qualifications

You’ll be required to work one in four Sundays at Exeter Mail Centre working between 11:00/18:00

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)


• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment


• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags


• Reliable and self-motivated


• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
