Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie in Wallingford to deliver letters and parcels on a rotating shift, including weekends, with a 37-hour week and a £13.68 per hour rate (plus overtime). You will work across Monday–Sunday patterns and may cover varying routes.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. A full manual UK driving licence, ability to pass a driving assessment, and fitness to walk long distances are essential.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 37:00hours per week - working (5) days in 7 across Monday - Sunday

Mon,Tues 07:12-15:12, Wed,Thurs 07:24-15:24, Fri 07:09-15:09, Sat 06:27-14:27. Sun 08:15-16:15

There may be a requirement to cover a different shift when needed 12:00-20:00

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work Sundays at(Wallingford)Delivery Office as required.

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
