Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Bridgnorth is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver on behalf of Royal Mail. This temporary role supports customer-focused delivery in all weather conditions.

As a Multi-Drop Driver you will start shifts at the local delivery office, sort and load deliveries, and deliver mail and parcels by vehicle or on foot. You’ll use a handheld device to navigate routes and capture signatures, lifting bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points (clean licence preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong time management and a customer-first approach.
• Delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not required.

Employment Type: Temporary, Up to 30 hours per week

Location: Bridgnorth

Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility

Shifts: 8:30am - 8pm

About the Opportunity

Core Responsibilities

• Preparation: Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries.
• Distribution: Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Operations: Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
