Job summary

Royal Mail in Donaghadee is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our team delivering letters and parcels on a rotating 35-hour week. You’ll work outdoors, on foot and by van, with full training provided and a competitive benefits package.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, a positive can-do attitude, and the fitness to walk long distances and lift mailbags. Expect a busy but rewarding frontline service.

Qualifications

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically capable of walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying mailbags of 10kg+.

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 35 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Saturday – 07:45/16:00*

What To Expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
