Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Lisburn seeks a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on a shift schedule in the Lisburn area. The role is permanent, with paid overtime and a 33-hour week, including weekends.

You will drive a Royal Mail van, walk long distances, and work outdoors in all weather as part of a busy, customer-focused team. Full UK manual driving licence is required, with driving assessments, and a willingness to work rotating shifts.

Location: Lisburn Delivery Office, BT28 1AA Job type: Permanent contract Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available. Working hours: 33:00 hours per week - working 9 day across a Fortnight - 08:15 - 16:05 - Mondays/ 08:20 - 15.40 - Tuesdays - Fridays, 08:15 - 15:05 - Saturdays*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags

As a Postie, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
