Job summary

Blue Arrow are actively seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a successful delivery office team in Houghton le Spring (DH4). As a Postal Worker, you will be a vital part of the community, delivering letters and parcels, while being the friendly face that people look forward to seeing.

Role information: 30 hours per week with shifts 09:00–15:00 or 15:30–20:30, five days from 6, temporary with potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Licence held for minimum of 6 months.
• Dependable, self-driven attitude.
• Comfort working solo and outdoors in all weather.
• Team spirit and a love for helping others.
• Basic DBS/PVG Check (No cost, Blue Arrow will cover)

Responsibilities

• Begin at the local delivery office, sorting mail for your route.
• Hit the road in a van, delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses.
• Use a handheld device to track deliveries and stay on schedule.
• Provide top-notch service come rain or shine, with a smile.

About the role

Our client is the leading provider of mail and parcel services across the UK. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and standards for the customers to ensure that they receive important correspondence and parcels come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing some part of the route on foot, ensuring that everything reaches it's destination safely.

Key information

• Pay rate: £13.69 p/h
• Hours: 30 hours per week, shifts between 09:00 - 15:00 or 15.30 to 20.30
• Days: 5 days from 6
• Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm
