Job summary

Blue Arrow is hiring Postal Delivery Drivers in Sunderland (SR5) to join a delivery office team. You will deliver letters and parcels by van, with some route work on foot, using a handheld device to track progress.

We offer weekly pay, a pension, and access to wellbeing and learning platforms. The role is 30 hours per week, 3.30pm–9.30pm, with a temp contract that may become permanent.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points) required.
• Licence held for minimum of 6 months.
• Dependable, self-driven attitude.
• Comfortable working solo and outdoors in all weather.
• Team spirit and a willingness to help others.
• Basic DBS/PVG check (Criminal Record Check) – Blue Arrow covers cost.

Responsibilities

• Start at the local delivery office and sort mail for your route.
• Drive a van and deliver letters and parcels to homes and businesses.
• Use a handheld device to track deliveries and stay on schedule.

Blue Arrow are actively seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a successful delivery office team in Sunderland (SR5). As a Postal Worker, you will be a vital part of the community, delivering letters and parcels, while being the friendly face that people look forward to seeing.

About the role

Our client is the leading provider of mail and parcel services across the UK. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and standards for the customers to ensure that they receive important correspondence and parcels come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing some part of the route on foot, ensuring that everything reaches it's destination safely.

Key information

• Pay rate: £13.69 p/h
• Hours: Between 3.30pm-9.30pm
• Days: 30 hours per week 5 days from 7
• Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm
