Job summary

Blue Arrow in Blaydon on Tyne (NE21) is seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a busy delivery office team. As a Postal Worker, you will deliver letters and parcels and be the friendly face in the neighbourhood, starting from the local delivery office.

The role involves driving a van, sometimes delivering on foot, using a handheld device to track deliveries, and providing excellent service in all weather. Temp role with potential to go permanent; 30 hours weekly, shifts 09:00–15:00 or

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Licence held for minimum of 6 months.
• Dependable, self-driven attitude.
• Comfort working solo and outdoors in all weather.
• A team spirit and a love for helping others.
• Basic DBS/PVG Check (Criminal Record Check - No cost, Blue Arrow will cover this)

Responsibilities

• Hit the road in a van, delivering letters and parcels to homes and businesses.

Blue Arrow are actively seeking Postal Delivery Drivers to join a successful delivery office team in Blaydon on Tyne (NE21). As a Postal Worker, you will be a vital part of the community, delivering letters and parcels, while being the friendly face that people look forward to seeing.

About the role

Our client is the leading provider of mail and parcel services across the UK. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and standards for the customers to ensure that they receive important correspondence and parcels come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing some part of the route on foot, ensuring that everything reaches it's destination safely.

Key information

• Pay rate: £13.69 p/h
• Hours: 30 hours per week, shifts between 09:00 - 15:00 or 15.30 to 20.30
• Days: 5 days from 7
• Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm
