Royal Mail Group is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in the Egham area. You will sort mail at the office, deliver by van and on foot, and build strong relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

The role involves a rotating shift, including some weekends, with training provided and a red Royal Mail van for deliveries. Candidates must have a full manual UK driving licence and be physically fit for long walks; reliability and independence are valued in a busy

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 Months)

Salary: £16.24 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.Working hours: 37 hours per week - working 5days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 13:00/20:00*

Looking for a Postperson with Driving job where you can stay active, connected to your community, and enjoy great benefits? Join Royal Mail as a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) and become the face of our trusted service, delivering letters and parcels in EGHAM.

You'll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You'll be required to work Sunday at, Brentford Delivery Office TW4 5XX. Rota for Sunday working will change per business needs with shifts timing will be 10:00 to 17:30.

What to expect

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)


• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We'll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You'll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)


• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment


• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags


• Reliable and self-motivated


• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment


• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service


• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
