Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Northfield, Birmingham is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver for Royal Mail on a temporary/ongoing basis. Earn £13.69 per hour with up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus weekend availability, 07:00am–15:00pm, starting immediately.

Role involves sorting and loading deliveries at the local office, using a handheld device, and delivering letters and parcels by foot or vehicle, with lifting up to 20kg. Outdoor work in all weather is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Delivery or driving experience beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries

• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle - walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred)
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
