Job summary

Royal Mail in Cirencester is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a permanent contract. You’ll deliver letters and parcels on a rotating 37-hour week, with some weekend work, across a local route in Cirencester.

You’ll receive training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. A full UK manual driving licence is required; you must be fit for long walks and outdoor work, and overtime is paid.

Location: Cirencester Delivery Office, GL7 1AA

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday – 07:00/19:00* Supporting two separate shifts, either Letters Deliveries or Parcel Deliveries.

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Stroud Delivery Office.

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:
