Job summary

Pertemps Bond is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in Basingstoke to support Parcelforce. The role is part-time, up to 35 hours per week, with a pay rate of £15.06 per hour and shift patterns Monday to Friday with weekend flexibility.

You will start at the local delivery office, sort and load deliveries, and then deliver by vehicle or on foot, walking up to 8 miles daily.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with few or no penalty points.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Preparation: Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries.
• Distribution: Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Operations: Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
