Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers in the Shrewsbury area on behalf of Royal Mail. The role involves sorting and loading deliveries and delivering mail and parcels on foot or by vehicle, with walking up to 8 miles daily.

The position is part-time, up to 35 hours per week, with flexible weekend shifts. A full UK manual driving licence with limited penalty points is required, and applicants should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather

Qualifications

• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points preferred.

Responsibilities

• Begin shifts at the local delivery office to sort and load daily deliveries.
• Deliver mail and parcels by vehicle and on foot; walk up to 8 miles per day.
• Use a handheld device to navigate routes and capture customer signatures.
• Safely lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg with trolleys as needed.

• Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
• Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
• Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
