Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) seeks a Teacher - Post-Primary to deliver ICT or Business subjects, aligned with Northern Ireland Curriculum, Key Stages 3–5, and to promote student achievement and well‑being.

Essential criteria include a teaching qualification recognised to teach in grant‑elected schools in NI, a degree in ICT or Business, and a minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience with diverse learners, including ASD.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification which meets the requirements for recognition to teach in grant-elected schools in Northern Ireland.
• Have a degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification prepared to teach ICT or Business as main subject.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver ICT/Business lessons in line with the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
• Assess, record and report pupil progress and attainment.
• Provide guidance to pupils on educational and career options and collaborate with parents and colleagues.
